This FoI asks for communications between Nature Scot and HFD/Data Vita around the time the AI Growth zone was announced. It was sent around 8th April and the response was sent 28th April so the contents covers the communications up to a point between those two dates.

Response to SCCS letter to FM
This letter is in repose to the letter sent by SCCS, the civil society coalition on Climate, to the First Minister on March 5th. The letter brings us no further forward, saying that there is no intention to amend EIA regulations, put in place a moratorium, nor provide more guidance on green data centres beyond their existing commitment in the AI Strategy to publish 'what factors would be prevalent in a 'green' data centre' by 2027.

This is the APRS submission to the appeal of the 212MW AI data centre at the Gyle, Edinburgh written by Nikki Sinclair. It was turned down by the Planning Committee of Edinburgh City Council in February and the developers are now appealing the decision.

Accelerating home building – incentives and penalties to speed up housing delivery: consultation
In this consultation on housing delivery we are strongly against the introduction of a new “presumption in favour of housebuilding on unallocated land” and we would like to see incentives and attention being focused on faster delivery of social housing or community-led housing. We note that a Public Interest Led Development approach is much needed as recommended by the Scottish Land Commission.
