This week Prime minister Keir Starmer responded to a letter from NGOs, businesses and public bodies, including APRS, to bring forward plans for a deposit return scheme without delay.

In the letter Keir Starmer says that the Labour Party’s manifesto “was clear that we are committed to reducing waste by moving to a Circular Economy. I welcome your views and continued engagement with the Government regarding the merits of a UK-wide deposit return scheme.”
