This update marks a year since Kat became Director and looking back, so much has happened.

Since the new planning system was implemented, we have been working to help communities
understand it with new guidance and advice on the website and a series of webinars this
winter. Despite the major setback on deposit return, we have come back strongly in our work
on the Circular Economy Bill and the Internal Market Act and we are celebrating the start of the
nominations process for the new National Park.
