The Scottish Government also recently issued a public consultation “Effective Community Engagement in Local Development Plan Guidance”.
We believe that communities should be at the centre of Local Development Plans and the process should be made simple and straightforward for them to engage with, and that communities should be engaged proactively by the planning authorities.
The consultation is open for comments until 13 September 2023 and APRS is starting to prepare a response to it. If you would like to feed any comments into that process, please get in touch with nikki@aprs.scot
