Today APRS and volunteers from Fife Street Champions demonstrated outside Tesco Duloch, calling on the supermarket chain to support Scotland’s upcoming deposit return scheme. The campaigners brought littered trollies filled with littered cans and bottles.

The Scottish Government has released the new regulations for the upcoming deposit return system, which will now go live on the 1st March 2024. We have summarised the the key changes included in the new regulations.

The Scottish Government is making progress on its plans to introduce new-style local development plans (LDPs). The Regulations required for these plans are currently being scrutinised by the Scottish Parliament and are due to come into force on 19 May 2023.

Communities across Scotland are being asked to consider whether their local area could be designated as the country’s newest national park.

Individuals, groups or organisations considering making a nomination can now register early interest.
