Campaigner Day – 19 September
We are holding an event at Adelaide Place in Glasgow, close to Charing Cross Station on 19th September to for those campaigning locally and nationally on hyperscale data centres to strategise, plan, learn and share information.
The day will include workshops on engaging with the planning system, on media and communications, working with politicians, and planning for the ongoing campaign.

Meeting on the Edinburgh proposals

We hosted a meeting for people interested in the Edinburgh data centre applications, run in collaboration with Global Justice Now and we heard from their campaign officer Jane Herbstritt, Kat from APRS, Ben Christman of ERCS, and energy expert Victoria Plutshack. The evening was chaired by journalist Rachael Revesz.

Networking and Learning day for data centre and countryside campaigners
Saturday 25 April 2026 – Beechbrae, Blackridge, West Lothian

This event will take place at Beechbrae, a beautiful venue in the woods not far from Blackridge train station between Edinburgh and Glasgow.
This year we are combining our AGM with talks and networking on data centres in Scotland. APRS is working on data centres because they are a new and serious threat to Scotland’s countryside and our climate targets.
We will bring together seasoned APRS members with new campaigners on data centres for this event!
Non members are welcome at the AGM to find out about the work of APRS over the past year and hear about our plans, or they can arrive at 1130am for the section on introductions. We will plan the workshops and networking to suit those who comes along to the event – let us know what would help you!
