We are calling for Scottish Ministers to issue screening directions for two hyperscale data centres which have sent in planning applications in the last two weeks and have been screened out of an EIA. For details on why the EIA screenings were so insufficient read the document for Chapelhall and Greenock.
We are also asking for the Ministers to also issue EIA screening directions for the two sites at Ravenscraig which were split in two for the purposes of doing the EIAs. For a start splitting an application is now allowed for the purposes of the EIA screening, but also the screenings themselves were insufficient.
