Another busy newsletter for our members and supporters. In this newsletter we introduce our new campaign on data centres, and have details on this year’s Winter Webinars.

Another packed APRS news for our members and supporters! In this newsletter we welcome Laura to the team and say a very sad goodbye to Nina after 13 years.

The most important is the in-person event ‘The Nature of Planning’ that we are hosting with Planning Democracy on 22 March. We hope to see you there! We also have news on the process for designating a new National Park for Scotland, an invitation to a talk and panel discussion on ‘environment campaigning in a polarised world’ at the Scottish Campaign for National Parks AGM and a history blog about our founder Frank Mears.

We have so much to tell you about in this newsletter. We are part-way through our webinar series on Biodiversity and Planning, and Nikki Sinclair explains the ramifications of the Mossend appeal and the subsequent legal challenge. The big news is that the consultation on the National Park in Galloway is open and we also have a potted history of APRS up to the 1950s to share with you.

Another busy newsletter – firstly we have details to share of our joint Winter Webinar series with Planning Democracy – the theme is biodiversity and planning. We also feature a new report on the benefits of National Parks, which we helped produce and our Director Kat has a seven-date lecture tour with the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.

Another update for you on what’s been going on in Landscape, Countryside and Planning to read while relaxing on your summer holiday! It’s the first e-news from our new office at the Augustine United Church.

We’re sending this out a couple of weeks after our AGM at Limekilns and just before the Circular Economy Bill reaches its last stage in the Parliament. It was great to meet some of our members at the AGM.
